Basil is a Hero in Ratigan's Fate deck. Defeating him can become Ratigan's win condition if he discards The Robot Queen from play.

A great Fate pick. Be careful about discarding The Robot Queen too early, however, as defeating Basil is not very difficult for Ratigan to do. There are several ways in the Fate deck to move Basil around, so try to keep him out of locations with Allies. However, also try not to leave him in Buckingham Palace, as that will prevent him from being able to stop Ratigan's primary Objective. The best target for Makeshift Balloon, as that prevents Felicia from defeating him on her own.
