A card's Cost is how much Power is required to play it. All Villain deck cards (except Conditions) have a Cost, usually from 0 to 4 Power. Several Abilities care about the Cost of certain other cards; Conditions are considered to have a Cost of 0 Power in these instances. Fate deck cards never have a Cost.
Altering Costs[]
Several cards influence the Costs of other cards, either increasing or reducing those Costs. Cards that care about Costs must take into account these altered Costs, rather than the Costs printed on the cards.
