Duplicity is a Condition in Mother Gothel's Villain deck.
Strategy[]
An okay card. While it is a little easier to trigger than similar conditions other Villains have, it can't defeat Rapunzel, and for other Heroes it is generally more reliable to use Gothel's many Allies to defeat heroes. Don't hold onto it unless it seems likely an opponent will defeat a strong enough Hero within a turn or two, and you have a weak enough Hero to defeat. If it does happen to activate, prioritize Pascal, then Ulf, or any Hero blocking access to Rapunzel's Tower. If you use this on a Hero at the Crown's location, it does activate the Crown's Ability, gaining you either Power or Trust, which can sneakily win you the game!
Of your possible opponents:
- Jafar/Madam Mim/Scar/Ursula - have a strong enough Hero that they must defeat, but doing so doesn't immediately win them the game
- Captain Hook/Evil Queen/Pete/Ratigan/Shere Khan/Yzma - have a strong enough Hero that prevents them from winning, but won't necessarily be played
- Cruella De Vil/Gaston/King Candy/Oogie Boogie/Queen of Hearts/Prince John - have a strong, obnoxious Hero that doesn't need to be defeated, but probably will be
- Dr. Facilier/Hades/Maleficent/Syndrome - have a strong, obnoxious Hero, but their Strength can be reduced
- Horned King/Lotso/Lady Tremaine - can completely ignore strong enough Heroes
