Clarifications

• The alteration to Strength is only applied in the turn when an Activate action is used on this card.
• This only affects Heroes while they are in its location; if a Hero is moved into the location with Sorcerous Power, it loses 2 Strength, and if a Hero is moved out of the location, it regains 2 Strength.

Strategy

This card is cheap, has low opportunity cost to play, and has moderate utility. It's most useful for making the Genie cheaper to Hypnotize, but can also be used against other Heroes (Abu, Carpet and Sultan become free to Vanquish). Bear in mind that it's completely useless for Vanquishing at Sultan's Palace, as any Hero there will be blocking the Activate action, though it can still be used with Hypnotize if Jafar is at the Oasis. In a pinch, Giant Hourglass can be fed to Necessary Sacrifice if you're in need of Power.
