• This can be played even if you have an empty Fate discard pile. In that case, just shuffle your Fate deck before looking at the top four cards.

Strategy

A very useful card, though it can sometimes be a trap. If you play Invitation from the King before your opponent Fates you next, then you just wasted 2 Power. But outside that instance, it's usually a good idea to stack your Fate deck, particularly in combination with Vicious Practical Jokes (including giving you foreknowledge of if you even need to play that Condition). Just remember that it still costs 2 Power, which you may need down the line for other, more important things, so don't get distracted.
