Jaq is a Hero in Lady Tremaine's Fate deck.

Clarifications[]

If Jaq is moved by The Key, or played to Lucifer's location, his Ability does not trigger.
As worded, if Jaq is played to a location with only a Glass Slipper, it must be discarded. However, some Ravensburger representatives have said this is not intended, implying that the card has been misprinted.

Strategy[]

If Jaq is able to discard Lady Tremaine's Cane or Wedding Bells, he is the most devastating Fate that Lady Tremaine can suffer, even more so than Fairy Godmother. However, a lot needs to go wrong for that to happen. If Jaq is still pending, Lady Tremaine will likely play Lucifer, or keep hold of Vicious Practical Jokes, or stack her Fate deck with I Never Go Back on My Word, as she absolutely cannot allow Jaq to do what he was designed to do. If you have the chance to play Jaq to an undefended Wedding Bells, you do so, no matter what the other Fate card is, as such a play will more than likely win you the game.
