Keywords are words found in card texts that refer to specific operations players can perform. The keyword is essentially a shorthand, letting a potentially complicated effect take up less space on a card.

- Defeat: Discard a Hero from your Realm.
- Discard: Remove any number of cards from your hand and Realm and place them in the discard pile.
- Draw: Take any number of cards from the Villain Deck and put them into your hand.
- Find: Look through the relevant discard pile, then deck, for the specified card, then shuffle your deck afterwards (if necessary).
- Look at: Privately look at cards from the specified location. No other player may see what they are.
- Reveal: Show to all players cards from the specified location.
