Lefou is an Ally in Gaston's Villain deck.

Clarifications

• The location of a Vanquish action is where a Hero and one or more Allies are discarded, not the location where the Vanquish icon is printed.
• Lefou's Ability is mandatory; you cannot choose to not return Allies to your hand.
• If Lefou is involved in the Vanquish action, he is also returned to your hand.
• Any Allies not involved in the Vanquish action remain on the board, even if at the same location.

Strategy

Lefou is a card of calculated risk, both in when to play him, and whether or not to. Playing him early can render him useless if Beast moves him, but doing so can let you get through your deck faster to more important cards. Playing him at all means you can conserve your limited supply of Allies, particularly your Wolves, but that usually means you're clogging up your hand with them, and won't be drawing new cards anytime soon. Perhaps the best use for Lefou is as a flyby anti-Belle drone, as he'll always return to hand after he's done, but it can also be nice to get back Wolves spent on Beast. If you do use him, try to empty your hand back out as quickly as possible afterwards. Remember that you can use any number of Allies in a Vanquish action, even if they're not needed, so you can reposition any Allies at that location, though as always be wary of handclog.
