Strategy[]
The Introduction to Evil version of Prince John plays quite similarly to the original, and his old strategy guide will still be fairly relevant, with the following exceptions:
- Your Objective now requires you to have Robin Hood at The Jail. The foxy robber will visit you naturally if your opponent is Fating you, as he is required to be played when revealed, but if your opponent has decided to be pacifist, you can force him out with the new versions of Set a Trap and Cowardice, or by defeating Maid Marian. Vanquishing him will then send him to The Jail.
- You no longer have to wait until the start of your turn to win, so your opponents must be extra careful about triggering your Greed if they are close to winning themselves. They also must be more proactive in Fating you, as they are no longer safe if you reach 20 Power during your turn.
- Little John is now the Hero that decreases your Power gain, meaning there is no longer a Hero that steals Power from you when they are played, making it extra important for your opponents to get Heroes on your board, which you can then milk with Beautiful, Lovely Taxes.
- Steal from the Rich cannot be played to a Hero that is in The Jail, so Fating players should be extra careful not play Heroes to The Jail. This restriction also makes Imprison much more useful for Prince John (although it cannot be used on Robin Hood, Little John, and Lady Kluck).
