Unquestionably the best way to claim The Black Cauldron, as it's the cheapest and uses the fewest cards and actions. After that, its Power gain is the most reliable in your deck. The only reason not to play this is if you need to discard to get Ancient Soldiers or Cauldron Born, and usually this will be the best thing to play on such a turn anyway.
