The Cards Will Tell is an Effect in Dr. Facilier's Villain deck. It is part of his win condition: if he reveals and resolves Rule New Orleans with it while he has control of the Talisman, he wins the game.
Cards without Fortune Pile abilities are discarded if resolved. Dr. Facilier's Villain Guide recommends having another player choose the three cards to be revealed; this makes the action resemble the scene from the movie.

- This can be played even if Dr. Facilier isn't in the Voodoo Emporium, but nothing happens.
Strategy[]
While the intention of this card is to hopefully reveal Rule New Orleans at the right time and win, it can be useful to use this at earlier times to clear out a thickening Fortune pile, particularly when you don't have your Illusion Powder or Desperations. If you've got nothing better to do with your hand, stop by the Voodoo Emporium and read your Fortune, and give an opponent a good Fate while you're there.
