Clarifications[]
- This will not be shuffled in if you choose to reshuffle, as it is still resolving when that happens. This will be the only card in your discard pile once it is done resolving.
- You cannot claim The Black Cauldron if Dyrnwyn is not in play.
- You cannot discard Dyrnwyn if you have already claimed The Black Cauldron.
Strategy[]
If you are using this to claim The Black Cauldron, something has gone very wrong. However, if Dyrnwyn is in play and you have 4 Power, better to just bite the bullet and claim the Cauldron if no other method is forthcoming. That said, the best use for this card is shuffling discarded Cauldron Born (or even Ancient Soldiers) back into your deck, whether you chose to discard them because you drew them too early, or were forced to by I Believe in You or The Witches of Morva. However, there is no point in holding on to this to prepare for such an eventuality, because it likely will be discarded along with the cards you were hoping to rescue, so discard this unless you actually need to use it right now.
